In June 2018, two young Kiwis created the first New Zealand-based e-scooter company. You'll now see pink Flamingo scooters throughout Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.

On July 2020 we heard about Flamingo's journey from idea to beating out heavyweight multinationals like Lime and Onzo for licences to operate, about where they're headed, how they're responding to the future of transport, and what they learned while launching a hardware startup.
