2024 - it’s a wrap!

We recently wrapped up our final event of the year in Christchurch, marking a wonderful close to an incredible year. As we wind down for the holidays, we want to take a moment to reflect on everything we’ve accomplished and, express our heartfelt gratitude to our amazing community. Your support, enthusiasm, and dedication have made it all possible!

2024 Milestones 🏆:

• Relaunch of Hardware Meetup AKL to Hardware Meetup NZ (not-just-software)

  • Mikayla Stokes took over the reins from founder Elyse Wyatt, as the new host of Hardware Meetup NZ

• Incorporation of Hardware Meetup New Zealand

  • Chair: Mikayla Stokes

  • Treasurer: David Stokes

  • Secretary: Divya Roshinkumar

  • Inaugural AGM attended by 25 supporters!

  • Established committee

    • Miriam Bradley, Mikesh Patel, Baden Parr, Sam Bristow, Harrison Cheow, Bradley Nixon, Roger Johnson, Anvil Banez, Nikki Reynolds

• 5 Events on different topics

• Community Forum

  • We set up a trial Slack workspace for our Christchurch community so that community building and networking can happen beyond our events. We are now opening it to everyone  - you can join this space here

Call for Volunteers 🔈:

• We are looking for forum moderators for the Slack workspace, so please let us know if you are keen.

• We are looking for someone who can handle the social media and marketing side of things. If this sounds like you, please reach out to us!
